Chip

Terms of Service

Last updated August 24, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Jack Christensen, doing business as Chip, for playwithchip.com and the Chip app. Using Chip means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

What Chip is

Chip teaches poker. Lessons, quizzes, puzzles, hand reviews, and practice tables against computer opponents. It is an education and practice product.

Chip is not gambling. There is no real money at the tables. The chips in the app are practice tokens used to keep score. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred, traded, redeemed, or cashed out, they have no monetary value, and no purchase ever gives you chips. Chip does not offer prizes, sweepstakes, or anything of value based on the outcome of a hand.

Nothing in Chip is a prediction or promise about how you will do in a real poker game, for money or otherwise. What you do away from the app is your own business and your own risk.

Your account

Chip Plus

Chip Plus is an optional paid subscription. It removes the free tier's daily limits: unlimited practice, the full lesson library, unlimited Hand Review, unlimited puzzles, and automatic streak repair. It does not give you chips and never will.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

The free tier

Chip is free to use and stays that way. The free tier has daily limits, not a locked door: the daily puzzle, the Daily Drill, Unit 1 and then a lesson a day, practice tables on a daily bankroll, one Hand Review a day, and your streaks, XP, badges and game log are all free, permanently.

Things you agree not to do

Content and ownership

The lessons, puzzles, artwork, code, and the Chip name belong to us. Your progress, your notes, and the real-life games you log belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them so the app can work and sync between your devices.

Changing or ending the service

We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a change that meaningfully reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell subscribers by email first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using Chip and delete your account at any time by emailing support@playwithchip.com.

No warranty, and limits on liability

Chip is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that it will make you a better poker player. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

Changes to these terms

We will post updates here and change the date at the top. For changes that matter to subscribers, we will email you before they take effect.
