What you get

No real money, ever

Chips are earned by playing. They cannot be bought and they cannot be cashed out for anything. Chip is practice, not a casino.

Chip Plus is $9.99 a month or $99.90 a year. It unlocks the lessons past the first unit, a daily practice bankroll, the puzzle archive, and Hand Review: street-by-street coaching on a hand you just played, showing where your equity actually was.

Chip's Hand Review scoring a played hand street by street: a loose call flagged preflop, a fine check on the flop with the equity shown, and a tally of five good decisions to two loose ones.

Paying yearly is two months free. That is $8.33 a month, and the yearly plan opens with a 14-day free trial. The monthly plan is charged on the day you subscribe. Compare the plans.

Before you start

Is the free tier actually usable?
Yes. The daily puzzle, the Daily Drill, all of Unit 1 and then a new lesson a day, practice tables on a daily bankroll, one Hand Review a day, and your streaks, XP, badges and real-game log. No card to start.
Does the content get past the basics?
Unit 1 is hand rankings and how a hand actually plays. Unit 2 is position, starting hands and reading the board. Unit 3 is pot odds, bet sizing and bluffing. Then Hand Review walks back through a hand you played, street by street, and shows where your equity really was.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Chip runs in the browser, so you can start on whatever you are reading this on. If you want it to feel like an app, put it on your home screen: Android offers to do it for you, and on iPhone it is Share, then Add to Home Screen.
What if I just want to try it?
Play free in your browser. No card, and you can start a lesson before you make an account. Chip Plus is the paid tier; its yearly plan opens with a 14-day free trial you can cancel in about two taps.
